BRITS WIN MEDALS IN KIEV

Mizhan Rahman earned silver in muscular men's physique and Aneglika Prejna, competing in only her second ever event, took bronze in wellness.

The IFBB organised the event in association with the Ukrainian government's Ministry of Youth and Sports, which shows the IFBB's willingness to work with authorities to promote bodybuilding and fitness as a legitimate global sport with rules.

As part of this, IFBB President Dr Rafael Santonja attended the Association of National Olympic Committees general assembly in Japan last week.

Five IFBB Elite Pro cards were available to the overall champions in Ukraine.

The two UKBFF athletes may have missed out but both can be proud of their medals.

“I am pleased,” says Miz. “It has given me the motivation to compete for my pro card at next year's English Grand Prix.”

Angelika said: “I'm happy. But now it is time to work harder. I will be back for gold next year.”
