BRITS WIN PRO CARDS IN BARBADOS!
Matt O’Reilly enjoys life as a pro bodybuilder in Barbados!
Stefanie Griffin and Matt O'Reilly flew to Barbados last weekend to take part in the IFBB Darcy Beckles Diamond Cup, which was a qualifier for the IFBB Elite Pro division.
Because the event was open to all IFBB-affiliated competitors, UKBFF athletes Stefanie and Matt decided to combine a trip to the sun with a chance to win points towards the $300,000 IFBB World Ranking.
They also had the opportunity to earn pro status and take part in the $24,000 pro show that followed the amateur event.
UK Nationals champion Stefanie took first place in wellness, ahead of Barbados' Dionne Clarke to win the coveted pro card. She then finished third in the pro show, earning $750.

“It was all so unexpected and happened so quickly,” she says. “It's still not sunk in. This year has been insane!”
Matt earned his pro card in the open bodybuilding line-up but did not place in the pro show.
Asked what's next, he said: “I'm currently enjoying Barbados then it's straight back to work to come back here next year and win the pro.”
